About Katia:

Dr Katia Schenberg attained her dental qualification at Griffith University.  She graduated with Honours in Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma in Dentistry with Academic Excellence. 

Katia prides herself on the highest possible standard of care in all her dental treatment.  She is passionate about changing patient’s perceptions of dentistry and ensuring they have a positive experience. Katia has a special interest in oral surgery particularly in wisdom tooth extraction, difficult tooth extractions and pre-prosthetic surgery.

Katia spent a year as an Oral Surgery Resident at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne working in a team with surgeons, registrars and nurses to provide care for patients with complex medical, dental and social problems.  She currently continues to work part time in the Oral Surgery Department at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne as a Senior Resident Dentist.

Katia has been a member of a volunteer oral and maxillofacial surgical team at two different hospitals in Vietnam on eight separate occasions.  She has gained further exposure to oral surgery through observing and assisting oral and maxillofacial surgeons at a number of different hospitals in Victoria and Queensland.  She often attends and presents at Continuing Professional Education courses. 

Outside of dentistry, Katia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, keeping active, cooking, eating and live music.
